About us

MatSpace Labs

Built at the bench. Driven by physical rigor.

MatSpace is a workbench in three platforms, built by materials researchers for the full development lifecycle. Meridian designs experiments and reduces the structural record they leave. Pedion treats property campaigns — magnetocaloric, thermoelectric, piezoelectric, dielectric–ferroelectric–electrocaloric, electrochemical — as instruments rather than macros. Mimesis, still in design, will hold density-functional and molecular-dynamics engines. The house rule is the same in each: if the measurement, the constitutive relation, or the Hamiltonian did not produce it, the notebook does not say it.

Mission & Physics

Physics-Constrained Analysis. Experimental materials science shouldn't rely on generic curve-fitters or unconstrained minimizers. MatSpace embeds domain boundary conditions—thermodynamic limits, crystal symmetry, and valid parameter ranges—directly into analysis routine to ensure output values reflect physical reality.

Scope & Future

Beyond Raw Characterization. The suite is organised by the kind of work, not by a vendor GUI. Meridian already covers protocol design, powder diffraction, equation-first fitting, spectroscopy and microscopy. Pedion is specified for the property engines listed on that platform. Mimesis will extend the same refusal to invent into theory. Session files stay with the signed-in browser; they are not archived as a training set.

Product roadmap

The workbench is organised as three platforms. Meridian is live for protocol design, powder diffraction and equation-first fitting; spectroscopy and microscopy follow. Pedion holds the property analysis. Mimesis, still in design, will hold the first defensible DFT and MD calculations.
